RATE OF PAY - $25.00 PER HOUR (WHEN ACTING AS SERVER OR BARTENDER, RATE OF PAY IS $25.00 PER HOUR + TIPS)

ABOUT OUR ROLE

Under the direction and guidance of the Executive Chef, the Food & Beverage Supervisor encourages guest and staff loyalty by providing engaging, dynamic, fun experience for all     guests and staff. This role is responsible for restaurant operations during the shift in the absence of Executive Chef. They are welcomed to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; increase guest satisfaction while keeping quality consistently high.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Be the Ambassador of the Property, Guest Advocate, Gracious Host and Staff Cheerleader within the Property and the local community.
  • Spend 95% of day/night in guest service areas interacting with guests and the staff.
  • Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant staff and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct, clean, complete uniform, clean polished shoes general appearance standards. 
  • Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service. 
  • Assist Executive Chef to establish and monitor side-work duty completion. Supervises daily guest service functions to sustain courteous and professional guest service levels.
  • Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift. Check for all personnel call offs and check floor plan for coverage. 
  • Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up. 
  • Communicate daily with the staff with regard to special events, house counts, etc. 
  • Able to work/support Host, Server, and Bartender roles as needed. 
  • Consistently monitor quality of service and product delivered in the guest service areas. 
  • Hold staff accountable for giving exceptional customer service based on Hotel/Restaurant Standards and Trailborn brand standards. 
  • Enforce health, safety and sanitation standards. 
  • Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and alcohol. 
  • Assess employee performance and provide feedback periodically based on Trailborn standards. 
  • Resolve guest complaints in a satisfactory manner. 
  • Handle VIP guests and special requests. 
  • Schedule shifts and manage attendance to include payroll tracking. 
  • Train new employees and ensure ongoing staff development.  
  • Coordinate with vendors and place orders as needed.     
  • Gather feedback to improve service quality. 
  • Assist in budgeting and cost controls.   
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, event planners, and hotel management. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One to two years in a public contact position in an upscale restaurant or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer skills
  • Positive and productive working relationships with entire staff of the property
  • Passion for gracious, friendly, and fun customer service 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance 
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity 
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift 
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
