Join our team as an experienced Automation Technician on a 12-hour rotating night shift and earn a night shift differential. This hands-on role offers the chance to work with advanced automation systems while contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. To set you up for success, initial training will be conducted on our day shift for approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on your training needs.

Job Summary: Work alongside the Automation Supervisor and Automation Technician, employee will maintain and improve Automation equipment from development through maintenance. This position will also work with existing equipment in use as well as equipment for upcoming projects.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot with minimal supervision EOAT’s (end of arm tools) downstream automation work cells, and Assembly work stations consisting of vision systems, pad printers, laser etchers and other related equipment.
- Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods/equipment to not only maintain state-of-the-art systems but also provide solutions for problems that adversely affect costs, operator safety, productivity and quality. Recommend and implement cost reductions in manufacturing to improve yield, reduce scrap, and increase efficiencies.
- Ability to lead team in major repairs
- Responsible for assigned maintenance tasks
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting processes and equipment
- Troubleshoot and adjust robotic programs
- Assist with NPD (New product development) and other groups to ensure successful new product launches
- Complies with SOP 751, 753, DMR instructions and related SWI’s
- The safety of all assigned equipment and materials
- Ensures proper documentation for traceability (DMR, quality forms and related materials)
- Assembly operation and maintain acceptable reject rates.
- Cross train fellow employees on equipment operations and ensure safety
- Good written and verbal communication required for written and verbal pass downs during shift change.
- Ability to follow proper escalation procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping and clean room practices
- Regular attendance and professionalism.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of five-eight years’ relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience with PLC programming, Vision systems, robotics, pneumatics, and electronics.
- Must be extremely dependable and efficient, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong team player, self-motivated
- Extreme attention to detail
- Capable of root cause analysis
- Must be able to read and interpret highly technical electrical and pneumatic schematics and work instructions.
- Must be able to use precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
ADA Requirements:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
