BUSINESS DEVELOPER – GRITT Business Coaching
Reports to: Director of Sales and Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY
The Business Developer at GRITT Business Coaching is a high-impact sales role focused on growing our client base and driving revenue through strategic outreach and relationship development. This individual will promote and sell GRITT’s coaching retainers, training programs, and the Profit & Cash business simulation to business leaders across diverse industries.
This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on connecting with decision-makers, crafting tailored solutions, and converting opportunities into long-term client partnerships. With ownership participation included, the Business Developer plays a pivotal role in GRITT’s long-term success. Remote work is possible, but travel is required. A commitment to follow-through, a passion for business growth, and alignment with GRITT’s entrepreneurial culture are essential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect, qualify, and secure business coaching clients across diverse industries
- Sell core GRITT offerings including:
- Retainer Coaching Services
- Leadership, Sales, and Safety Training Workshops
- Profit & Cash: Business and Financial Literacy simulation
- Promote and sell registration to annual GRITT Summit conference
- Promote GRITT Discovery Days to attract and nurture leads
- Build a sustainable referral network through partners, events, and client engagements
- Conduct needs assessments and deliver solution-based sales presentations
- Execute outreach via calls, email, networking, and in-person events
- Manage sales pipeline by logging daily activities and follow-up, including deal progression, in CRM
- Collaborate with the GRITT and PFSbrands support teams for sales and marketing support
- Attend and participate in business events, workshops, trade shows, and summits
- Provide insight on market trends, competitive positioning, and client needs
- Log key daily activities and maintain accurate CRM records
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales and profitability targets
- Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in consulting, coaching, or training services
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred, but not required
- Proven ability to close sales and drive revenue
- Experience with business owners, C-Suite and leadership teams is highly desirable
- Self-motivated with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to manage a pipeline of prospects and consistently move leads to close deals
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Microsoft CRM)
- Technological proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite, Teams/Zoom and similar platforms
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
- Entrepreneurial spirit and alignment with ownership mindset
WORKING CONDITIONS

- Approximately 75% in office – Remote work will be considered, but ideally this person will be located in our PFSbrands corporate office
- Ability to travel regionally/nationally to client sites and GRITT events
- In-person attendance at select GRITT events (Summits, Discovery Days, Client Workshops)
- Occasional travel to prospective client locations
- Participation in conferences, trade shows, and sales activations
- Professional home office setup with reliable connectivity
- Pass annual review of Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to establish and continue insurability under PFS’ corporate policies.
