This is an American Society of Health-systems Pharmacies (ASHP) accredited PGY-1 residency position. To be considered, all candidates must also apply through the ASHP PhORCAS system to program 33013 by 01/02/2025. Selection for this position will follow ASHP Match rules and eligibility guidelines.
Position Purpose A structured 1-year post-graduate education and training program designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills regarding drug therapy and pharmaceutical services in a managed care setting. Spends time rotating through the various areas within pharmacy including Formulary Services, Pharmacy Operations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Appeals, Specialty Pharmacy, and Quality. Will be assigned area specific activities, projects, and responsibilities.
Education/Experience Pharmacy resident will obtain Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college/school of pharmacy prior to start date. Exposure to managed care (student rotations acceptable), preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Licensed pharmacist by September 1st of residency year.
Pay Range $54,000.00 - $97,100.00 per year
