Requirements / Qualifications
The District is accepting applications for temporary and on-call job assignments for the positions of Instructional Assistant Moderate/Severe, Instructional Assistant Mild/Moderate, and Behavior Technician.
The District requires completion of an AA degree or equivalent post-secondary education, or the ability to pass an equivalency exam provided by the District. Specific experience working with children in a classroom or other organized setting is required; experience with individuals who have special needs is highly desirable. Must have or be willing to successfully complete training in the specialized techniques, strategies, and procedures required for each assignment.
Salary Info
IA Mild/Moderate-$19.20/hr; IA Moderate/Severe- $21.19/hr; Behavior Technician-$22.82/hr

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:
Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).
PAY DAYS: Temporary employees are paid on the 10th of each month.
