Hybrid Database Administrator chez Analytica

Analytica is seeking a Database Administrator to support the design, implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and security of databases for a high-profile federal program. This role supports activities across on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include (But Are Not Necessarily Limited To): 

• Design and implement optimized and scalable relational and columnar databases in AWS (RDS, Redshift) and hybrid environment.
• Assist in modernizing and migrating legacy databases (e.g., Oracle and DB2) to cloud-native platforms.
• Monitor and improve database performance through indexing, query optimization, and storage configuration.
• Conduct routing maintenance, patching, schema updates, and data migration tasks with minimal downtime.
• Work closely with cross-functional and vendor teams to deliver seamless data operations and project execution.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in database administration within enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based, with preference for Treasury and IRS experience.
• Familiarity with database monitoring and tuning tools.
• Must have active or ability to obtain IRS MBI clearance
