Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain groundwater pumps, wells, piping, and treatment equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment like pumps, flow meters, and control systems (PLCs).
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
- Collect and handle water and waste samples for testing.
- Maintenance of property, such as gravel access roads, including snow removal.
- Keep accurate records of your work and report data using company computers.
- Follow safety rules and company procedures at all times.
- Be available for occasional after-hours or weekend work for emergencies.
Preferred Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Some experience working in wastewater, environmental fieldwork, or mechanical maintenance.
- Mechanical skills and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus (training provided if needed).
- Wastewater Operator license (Class D or similar).
- First aid and CPR training.
- Confined space and lock-out/tag-out training.
- Experience with sample collection and shipping.
