About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Valve Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our Pressure Management New Valve Shop. This individual will manage all aspects of production, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving logistics, and team leadership. The role includes supervising both valve shop technicians and warehouse personnel while ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the new valve production shop.
- Manage all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely receipt and delivery of parts, components, and finished goods.
- Oversee warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized storage area.
- Schedule and assign work to valve technicians and warehouse staff to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., ASME, API).
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock.
- Provide training, technical guidance, and performance management for all shop and warehouse staff.
- Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, quality control, and shipments.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and logistics teams to resolve production or supply chain issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve workflow.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or associate degree preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in valve assembly, pressure management systems, or industrial manufacturing.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a shop or warehouse environment.
- Working knowledge of valve components, pressure relief devices, and related systems.
- Experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving.
- Proficient with ERP systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with ANSI, API, or ASME standards.
- Prior experience in new valve production (not repair/refurbishment).
- Forklift or crane operation certification.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles.
