Position Duties

The Town of Marana is seeking a Project Coordinator to work in the CIP Division of the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in coordinating the capital improvements within the Town of Marana, including buildings and roadways, and working with construction within the Public Rights-of-Way.

Expected Hiring Range: $20.65/hour - $25.30/hour

  • Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget

Salary Range: $20.65/hour – $29.94/hour 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Serves as the point of contact for the CIP Division, coordinates bid tabulations and provides coordination support on documents needed for contracts.
  • Provides traffic alerts and traffic notices on the Town’s website; receives and responds to public inquiries and complaints; and compiles all public records requests for the CIP and Rights-of-Way section.
  • Facilitates document control by receiving and routing documents for review or authorization; processes time-sensitive documents; provides records retention; scans and files all documents; and maintains files for project documents.
  • Conducts Right-of-Way data entry and permit processing and coordinates the Town’s wayfinding program.

Other Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (Additional relevant professional experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis).
  • Over three years in project coordination, data entry, maintaining project files, and customer service.
  • Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience in coordinating construction activities and issuing permits
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and data entry software
