About The Role
This role will focus on leading, developing, and growing a high-performing maintenance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will be instrumental in establishing a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills and a passion for developing people, systems, and processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and mentor a skilled maintenance team, including technicians, electricians, and support staff.
- Develop and implement training programs and career paths to elevate individual and team capabilities.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to plan and execute capital improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Implement and manage a modern CMMS to streamline work orders, PMs, and asset history tracking.
- Champion a safety-first mindset and ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Monitor KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, and PM completion rates, and take data-driven action to improve performance.
- Manage budgets for labor, parts, and contractors while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts to address recurring issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Proven track record in team building, performance management, and training program development.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience implementing and managing CMMS systems (Fiix, eMaint, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and automation used in powder manufacturing lines.
- Knowledge of Fiix or similar CMMS software.
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) for plant layout and equipment design support.
- Strong knowledge of powder processing equipment: extruders, grinders, mixers, classifiers, bonding equipment, and sieving systems.
- Proven experience leading capital projects from design through implementation
