Looking for an energetic person to maintain our Plant Department in a leadership and buyer role.
Monday – Friday. Hours of Operation 6:30-2pm, Must be able to work early mornings and occasional weekends.
Plant knowledge required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist walk-in customers as needed
- Product maintenance; watering, rotating stock, managing shrink, etc
- Phone management with any problems or concerns
- Carry product up to 40 lbs
- Separate product for order filling/processing
- Pull and pack product orders
- Assist with production, stack pallets, label boxes, etc.
- Purchase/Buy Foliage – from Southern and Central Florida, and Nashville.
- Purchase/Buy Succulents – mostly local, some from Florida and Canada
- Purchase/Buy Blooming – from Canada, and local for Christmas, Easter, and Mother’s Day
- Create POs, Airway Bills, and AP Uploads
- Update pricing on any new items
- Review and update prices as needed to maintain set margins that align with budget profitability
- Responsible for meeting margin and sales goals set as assigned by fiscal budget.
- Responsible for maintaining correct inventory levels and reducing the overall shrink
- Plant Price List – updated every week for sales staff and list of key plant customers
- Collecting, pulling, and billing orders, and helping customers (on the phone, and walk-ins)
- General care and maintenance the plant department and cooler – daily cleaning, checking for dry or dead plants
- Actively selling and seeking new customers

- Must be able to stand and walk for multiple hours at a time.
