Description

The Pharmacy Technician (Certified Technician) provides support to the pharmacist in reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications. All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• High school diploma or GED
• Active status certification from PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT)
• Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire

Experience:

• One year of inpatient or two years of outpatient experience or completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program.
