Position: Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education and Personnel

Position Summary: The Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Confidential Administrative Assistant to support the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education and Personnel. This twelve-month, tenure-eligible position plays a key role in supporting district operations related to curriculum and instruction, personnel management, compliance, and daily administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be professional, proactive, and able to manage confidential matters with discretion and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5 years of experience in office management or executive-level administrative support
School or School District office experience preferred
Experience or familiarity with building and understanding board agendas preferred
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including handling confidential information with discretion
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Trello and other web-based applications
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively on team projects
Prior experience with educational software (e.g., Frontline, CSI, NJSMART) preferred

Working Conditions: Full-time, 12-month, non-affiliated, tenure-eligible position, medical benefits and pension. Salary Range is $65,000 - $75,000, commesurate with education and experience.
