Description

Master Boat Builders is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pipe Crew Lead who is able to help ensure consistent leadership, efficient workflow, and adherence to operational standards across all projects.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the work of fabrication shop employees, ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively. 
  • Develops and manages fabrication schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines. 
  • Ensures that all fabricated components meet required quality standards, inspecting work for accuracy and compliance with specifications.  
  • Ensure materials are staged and readily available for craftsmen
  • Coordinate the transportation of spools from the laydown area to the work location. 
  • May be responsible for ordering, managing, and tracking materials needed for fabrication projects. 
  • Identifies and resolves issues or challenges that arise in the fabrication process, ensuring smooth operations. 
  • Coordinate with foreman to effectively manage man power and material coordination and ensure proper reporting procedures
  • May be involved in training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for the team. 


Requirements

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years prior experience in a relatable field HIGHLY preferred. 
  • Strong leadership skills are required to effectively lead a team. 
  • A thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, piping systems, and welding processes is necessary. 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully to help create and maintain a respectful work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are needed to address challenges that arise. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow. 
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures. 

The schedule for this role is Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
