Master Boat Builders is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pipe Crew Lead who is able to help ensure consistent leadership, efficient workflow, and adherence to operational standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the work of fabrication shop employees, ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively.
- Develops and manages fabrication schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Ensures that all fabricated components meet required quality standards, inspecting work for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Ensure materials are staged and readily available for craftsmen
- Coordinate the transportation of spools from the laydown area to the work location.
- May be responsible for ordering, managing, and tracking materials needed for fabrication projects.
- Identifies and resolves issues or challenges that arise in the fabrication process, ensuring smooth operations.
- Coordinate with foreman to effectively manage man power and material coordination and ensure proper reporting procedures
- May be involved in training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for the team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years prior experience in a relatable field HIGHLY preferred.
- Strong leadership skills are required to effectively lead a team.
- A thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, piping systems, and welding processes is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully to help create and maintain a respectful work environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are needed to address challenges that arise.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
The schedule for this role is Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
