This position is responsible for supporting key aspects of the accounting function by performing the necessary accounting duties and by supporting operations and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • General ledger close and financial consolidation. Complete the daily, weekly and monthly activity necessary to support assigned companies. This includes but is not limited to: monitor sales margins, process sales taxes, monitor inventory and closing the company financial statements on a monthly basis. In addition to the assigned branches, assist in the overall monthly and yearend financial close.
  • Accounting reconciliation. Maintains reconciliation of general ledger and subsidiary ledgers. Makes recommendations regarding the accounting for reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Special projects. Take responsibility to monitor, reconcile, research and report on key financial areas of the department. These areas are assigned and rotated on a periodic basis. These areas may include fixed assets, Inventory management, cash management, system balancing, intercompany reconciliations, and key account balancing.
  • Other responsibilities. Manage warranty accounting, prepare cost analysis, assist in preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting, assist with forecast and budget preparations, reconcile bank statements.
  • Process improvements. Perform research and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation as well as assisting in other duties as assigned.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from four-year college or university and/or related work experience.
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Understanding of GAAP Principals
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • The base pay range for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000 and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location, along with budgeted range of position.
