Description
Heidelberg University is seeking a Student Systems Analyst to contribute to the improvement of student satisfaction in relation to outward-facing student self-service technology. The Student Systems Analyst acts as the primary technical resource for all student-related systems, including but not limited to Slate and Banner. This position improves student service functions in Admissions, Financial Aid, Office of the Registrar, and the Business Office in relation to the interface of student services and technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Admissions Operations Support (60%)
- Ongoing maintenance and upgrades related to the Slate CRM, including identifying and testing new features as they become available.
- Participate in committees that directly affect admission operations or new students, including specifically the New Student Collaboration Committee.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Admissions and the Admissions Operations Team.
- Continually improve Admission processes and innovation of new Slate features, along with collaborating with student-facing offices to implement process improvements, especially through systems integrations and technology implementation.
- Create, manage, and monitor innovative enrollment management systems, procedures, and workflows; research best practices related to the areas of strategic enrollment best practices, academic records, and registration.
- Maintenance of all application populations within the Slate CRM, including communication plans.
Student University Systems Support (30%)
- Assist with integrations and reporting with Slate and other systems, including Banner, FrontRush, Common Application, and others.
- Assist Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid offices with reporting through Slate, Argos, and Edify.
- Update the New Student checklist every semester, manage a separate email flow, coordinate all changes, and manage the move-in/verification process.
- Collaborate with key department leaders across campus.
- Assist with support and maintenance of other student-facing systems.
CNIT Support (10%)
- Assist with other CNIT tasks as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree – computer science, technology, or a related field
- 3 years of IT work experience
- Experience in a Student system technical position (Admission, Registrar, Financial Aid)
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree – computer science, technology, or a related field
- Experience in a small, liberal arts institution
- Experience working with Slate CRM and Banner

Tools and Equipment Used: Knowledge of operation and use of various office equipment including, but not limited to: personal computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software, integrated database software, fax machine, copier, telephone, scanner, and printers. The employee in this position must have a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Mental demands include varied degrees of occasional stress while performing job duties.
