NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for a seasonal Control Room Operator III to operate and perform maintenance on machinery as required. Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices Policy (GMP’s), Safety and Health Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations are being followed. Willing and able to continue training in evaporation systems for future advancement and increased control room. This role will be responsible for documenting and recording required data for down time, problems, temperatures, and production, including any information relevant to the respected area t our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically June – October.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take specialization classes in at least one of the following areas: Flash Cooler, Evaporization or Instrumentation.
- Understands the process flow of the specified machinery being operated (Hotbreaks, Fencos, Evaporators and Flash cooler) and able to operate all of the systems within the department (Hotbreaks, Fencos, Evaporators and Flash Cooler).
- Assists the control room lead in the day-to-day operations.
- Ensures that product being produced by Evaporators and the Flash Cooler meet the specifications according to the Manufacture Standard Practices (MSP).
- Ensures that proper levels and temperatures are recorded and remain within limits.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of related experience and/or training in Evaporation or similar equipment or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Knowledge in the operation of all control room systems; Hot breaks, Fencos, Evaporators and Flash coolers.
- Knowledge to operate calculator to perform mathematical functions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and calculate mathematical functions to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to complete the Company forklift safety and training certification course and to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
Compensation:
The wage is $24.10, with a 2nd shift differential of $.50 and a 3rd shift differential of $1.00.
