Darigold is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our IT Operations team. This role will focus on automating, optimizing and standardizing core infrastructure processes across on-prem and virtual environments. The ideal candidate is an expert in PowerShell, configuration management and virtualization automation—bringing DevOps-style rigor to traditional infrastructure.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, build and maintain automation scripts, tools and APIs to reduce manual tasks across Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Collaborate with SysAdmin and Networking teams to identify high-impact automation opportunities.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code for server hardening, configuration and deployment (Ansible preferred).
  • Integrate infrastructure workflows into CI/CD pipelines using GitOps principles, Jenkins, Drone, etc.
  • Develop custom tools (e.g., snapshot lifecycle managers, backup validation, patch orchestration).
  • Implement compliance checks and remediation based on CIS hardening standards.
  • Support and enhance monitoring and alerting through integration with platforms like LogicMonitor or equivalent.
  • Document automation workflows and train IT staff for long-term maintenance and adoption.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and root cause analysis for automation-related issues.
  • On Call Support: Provide 24 x 7 On-Call support as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Local and regional travel estimate of 25%.

 What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in a Systems Administrator, DevOps or Automation Engineer role.
  • Deep experience with PowerShell scripting and API integrations.
  • Proven work with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Drone, etc.) and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience writing Ansible roles or similar config management tools.
  • Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V and SCVMM automation.
  • Exposure to backup systems like Druva, Veeam or Commvault.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, medical, banking or other high-uptime environments is a plus.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, Dell EMC Proven Professional, Pure Storage Certified Administrator) would be a plus.
