Hybrid Accounting Analyst, Intermediate - Accounts Payable chez Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL)

• Advise vendors on SRNL policies and procedures for general payables requirements and tax reporting.
• Audit invoices to ensure mathematical accuracy and compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Utilize audit methods to ensure compliance with internal controls and efficient processing.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors, SRNL technical staff, etc. regarding status of payments and other vendor issues.
• Prepare necessary monthly and quarterly status reports, as well as reconciliations.
• Identify and conduct processes to continuously improve financial procedures, analysis, and reporting systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance+ 4-6 years relevant experience
• For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is legally required
• Requires proficiency in applying accounting principles, policies, procedures, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• A basic knowledge and understanding of personal computers utilizing any of several generally accepted software applications to perform word processing, database management, spreadsheet, and graphic functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle software
