About the Role:

The Concrete Finisher plays a critical role in the construction process by ensuring that concrete surfaces are finished to the highest standards of quality and durability. This position involves preparing, pouring, leveling, repairing and finishing concrete for various structural and decorative applications. The Concrete Finisher must apply curing compounds and form oils correctly to protect and enhance the concrete's longevity. Additionally, the role requires the safe operation and movement of both mobile and stationary equipment to facilitate efficient workflow. Ultimately, the Concrete Finisher contributes to the successful completion of construction projects by delivering smooth, level, and structurally sound concrete surfaces that meet project specifications and safety standards.

Pay range: $21-23

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed work directions and safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to perform constant physical effort including lifting heavy materials and operating equipment.
• Familiarity with the use of curing compounds, form oils, and concrete finishing tools.
• Valid certification or training in concrete finishing or related construction skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have OSHA 10
• Certified in Respirable Crystalline Silica
• Certified in Fall Protection
• Certified in HazCom 
• Certified in Skid Steer or Manlift 
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with other construction professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set forms for concrete placement according to project specifications.
• Assist in concrete repairs and other miscellaneous rehab work. 
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand and power tools to achieve the desired finish.
• Apply curing compounds and form oils to protect concrete surfaces during the curing process.
• Operate and maneuver mobile and stationary equipment safely and efficiently on the job site.
• Interpret and follow work directions to perform each key duty satisfactorily and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Perform constant physical effort including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
