Hybrid A Knife Room Operator chez Seaboard Corporation

SUMMARY: Sharpen, inventory, and order knives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion.

• Keep inventory and count of all knives.
• Ability to train employees on wizard knife and bung gun

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or EGR preferred. Two years knife handling & sharpening experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred. Ability to write simple correspondence preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and management. Bilingual (Spanish and English) skills preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the job the employee will stand through the entire shift. The employee will regularly use repetitious hand and arm motion and grasping action. Must have the ability to use and maintain a sharp edge on a knife and electric wizard knife. The employee will regularly reach and twist with the upper body; grasp, pull/push and/or lift up to 25 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will work in an environment below 50 degrees. The noise level is loud.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
