New Horizons of the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee is the region’s most comprehensive mental health and substance use recovery agency. With nine facilities across four counties, we serve over 14,000 children and adults annually, regardless of their ability to pay.

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast was established in 1958 by community members who passionately believed that quality mental health services should be available to all in need on the Treasure Coast.? From its first location in Ft. Pierce, New Horizons has expanded to serve residents in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie Counties. More than 60 years after its founding, New Horizons continues to work hard to fulfill its founders' vision. It offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adults and children, crisis units for adults and children, learning resource centers for independent living skills, a transitional group home, substance abuse and detox services, case management, family support and counseling, and programs in schools. ?New Horizons provides a safety net for those in crisis, outreach programs to promote resilience and recovery, and community education to help our community achieve health in both mind and body.

GENERAL SUMMARY


This position will provide clinical and operational supervision for Outpatient and Services and Programs: Outpatient Therapy, CAT Team(s), FACT Team(s), Adult and Children Therapy, Screening and MRT. Must demonstrate: Solid leadership and team building skills; Willingness for services growth, in coordination with agency business objectives and support of clinical operations; Ability to serve as a Clinical liaison to funding sources, the community, agency committees and other internal and external sources; and must have Experience with the following:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Qualified Supervisor certified by the State of Florida
  • Minimum of ten years of clinical supervision.


Requirements

  •  Provides operational direction, leadership and clinical supervision 
  •  Applies sound personnel practices in interviewing, selection and orientation of staff.
  • Ensures that all staff   members have a clear definition of their work responsibilities and expectations for performance.
  • Interacts, at a minimum, bi-weekly   with clinical staff to ensure quality of on-going therapeutic interventions.
  •  Conducts Employee Performance Management Activities
  •  Demonstrates the ability to plan and organize the programs operations 
  •  Demonstrates good leadership by regularly keeping supervisor informed of program activities, needs, problems and administrative matters on a regular basis. 
  • Monitors, reviews and updates, as necessary program policies and procedures.
  •  Oversees overall activities   for the operations of the programs supervised.
  •  Ensures that the programs meet the needs of the clients, utilizes the abilities of staff and that clients are assigned to needed services. 
  •  Participates in administrative committees and meetings, clinical training, staff development and community relations activities 
  •  Develops and implements appropriate in-service training for staff.
