The Development Officer is responsible for assisting in and supporting all aspects of fundraising operations at HTC, with a special focus on alumni stewardship and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the Director of Alumni Affairs, engage HTC alumni worldwide through individual outreach and broad-based touchpoints.
- Cultivates donors through consistent, thoughtful stewardship, leading to individual solicitations, direct mail appeals, special events, and capital and legacy giving.
- Researches alumni data and maintains the accuracy and integrity of the donor database by ensuring that all information is current and up to date.
- Provides support to various committees and volunteers during fundraising campaigns and events.
- Assists in scheduling meetings with prospective funders and donors.
- Serves as an ambassador for HTC to the broader Jewish and higher education community; attend community functions and engage with donors to build successful partnerships.
Qualifications:
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of knowledge and proven experience in nonprofit or related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with donor database experience preferred
- Desire to build external relationships and key partnerships
- Able to represent HTC in a positive light to the broader community
