Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, LATAM, the Accounts Payable Supervisor will supervise the work of Accounts Payable (AP) team, establish priorities and train for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, motivate and evaluate performance of team members.
- Write, update and review regional policies and SOP’s, aligning with operations and financial teams and management.
- Lead the vendor payments, providing a customer excellence experience.
- Lead the Concur travel expenses, dealing with the issues with operations and reporting the expense provisions to accounting on a timely manner.
- Responsible for the Corporate Credit card administration and properly booking.
- Responsible of maintaining accurate data in accounting software (Oracle EBS).
- Complete month-end duties as outlined on the close checklist or as requested.
- Reconcile AP balance sheet and income statements accounts, research errors and work with appropriate teams and members of management to correct variances and improve processes for accounts that may have recurrent problems.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place.
- Contribute actively to the implementation of financial systems.
- Perform transaction analysis to provide information to management as requested.
- Identify and recommend process improvement initiatives for assigned areas.
- Special projects for Regional Controller, Regional Director of Finance or other managers and directors, as needed.
- Other accounting and admin responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting or business administration.
- Experience with Oracle Financials or another ERP system.
- Proven experience with collections, billing and/or finance experience.
- Leadership skills.
- Strong analytical skills (ability to recognize and resolve issues).
- Computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros) and Microsoft 365 applications.
- English, Spanish and Portuguese advanced.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to handle stress.
