We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician I to work in the Westbrook, ME office to serve as a core team member of the growing production team.

 

About the role

As a Production Technician I you will be engaged in the manufacture of test kits on the production floor and in the clean room, as well as assembly of instruments on the bench. You will read production work instructions, drawings, routings, and bills of material.  You will assemble electrical/mechanical components and product based on work order, production work instructions, drawings, and bills of material as well as perform production testing of product and maintain quality performance.  You will document production or quality issues using the appropriate procedures and recommend improvements to the build process or production methodology. 

 

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
  • One to three years production assembly experience.
  • Must be proficient with office equipment and programs such as Document Control software, ERP System, Microsoft Office, copiers, printers, and computers.
  • Must be able to read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions.
  • Assemble and test units that comply with work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Must be able to properly and safely use all standard hand tools including, screw drivers, wrenches, etc.
  • Prepare units for final quality inspection according to current policy and procedure. 
  • Routinely perform cycle counts in a designated work area.
  • Keep area clean and organized and be an active participant in our lean manufacturing continuous improvement program. 
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. 
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift thirty pounds.
