Our Brands
The Referrals Coordinator manages and coordinates the intake process for assigned programs, ensuring effective communication among programs. Responsibilities include completing initial assessment paperwork, maintaining and developing referral sources, processing referrals, verifying insurance, and managing client charts. The coordinator serves as the primary contact for referral sources, tracks referrals, and communicates with staff regarding scheduling and referral updates.
- Coordinates work performed in support of assigned program and facilitates communication among programs.
- Completes all initial assessment paperwork as appropriate.
- Maintains ongoing relationship with funding agencies and develops new resources through marketing presentations ensuring sufficient amount of referrals for program stability and growth.
- Coordinates Community Services referrals.
- Process referrals via email, fax, and phone call during business hours.
- Serve as the point of contact for referral sources to receive referrals.
- Verify insurance and eligibility of clients prior to scheduling.
- Process and open all charts for new or returning clients.
- Follow up with referral sources to obtain additional information to process referral.
- Communicate with staff regarding referrals and scheduling.
- Follow process for referrals tracking including accepted and denied referrals.
- Accept phone calls regarding new referrals, updates on referrals, or general questions.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions, as well as skill-building, outlined in the Treatment Plan as needed.
- High School Dipmloma/GED certification.
- One year related experience in Mental Health or Child Welfare Services’ required.
