Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the inventory lifecycle across all Feet First Partners’ Good Feet Store locations. This position is responsible for reconciling purchase orders, supporting vendor ordering processes, enforcing cycle count adherence, managing the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) workflow, and serving as a point of contact for inventory-related issues with vendors and stores. This role will be fully onsite in our collaborative Portsmouth, NH office.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Reconciliation:
- Review purchase orders against received goods and vendor invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoicing and receiving inconsistencies promptly.
Ordering Support:
- Assist with placing orders through external vendor platforms and processes as defined by the Senior Buyer
- Track order status and shipping information as needed to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication of order status to stakeholders.
Cycle Count Oversight:
- Ensure all stores follow the pre-determined cycle count plan consistently.
- Provide support and guidance to stores to complete counts on time.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances by identifying root causes and correcting errors.
RMA Coordination:
- Guide store teams through the RMA process by gathering the required details and documentation.
- Communicate with the Senior Buyer to obtain approvals before stores ship returned items.
- Ensure compliance with RMA procedures across locations.
Supplier Communication:
- Act as a liaison between stores and suppliers to address delivery discrepancies or product issues.
- Coordinate with vendors on shipping, invoicing, and product status inquiries as needed.
Reporting & Data Support:
- Run and review inventory reports to validate inventory accuracy.
- Support the Senior Buyer with inventory data that contributes to informed purchasing decisions
- Highlight trends or inventory issues that may impact operational efficiency.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to work with store teams, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general familiarity with inventory or ERP systems a pus
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in inventory management, retail operations, or supply chain a plus
- Familiarity with external vendor ordering platforms
- Experience supporting multi-location retail operations or franchises a plus
