Newton Falls Exempted Village School District
Contract: 180 Days | Location: Hybrid (Remote and In-Building as Directed)
Annual Pay: $25,000 (No Benefits)

Are you passionate about supporting student success in an online learning
environment? Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools is seeking a Remote Learning
Facilitator to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. This position provides
academic guidance, promotes engagement, and ensures the success of students
participating in virtual courses.

Position Overview

Title: Remote Learning Facilitator
Reports To: Building Principal
Contract: 180 Days
Work Location: Hybrid – includes both remote and in-building work as directed by supervisors
Compensation: $25,000 annually
Benefits: This position is not eligible for health insurance, retirement benefits, or STRS contributions through the school district directly, but additional insurance may be available through a 3rd party.
Expected Daily Schedule: 2 to 6 hours per day depending on final schedule and student case load
Start Date: TBD

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and support the academic progress and engagement of students enrolled in remote learning.
Serve as the liaison between students, parents, teachers, and virtual instructors.
Troubleshoot and assist with technical and instructional challenges.
Track attendance, course progress, and performance; maintain accurate records.
Provide timely feedback and reports to school administration.
Collaborate with school staff to support student success and well-being.
Participate in meetings and training sessions related to online instruction and district policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Ohio Department of Education license/certificate.
Experience managing online learning platforms, including enrollment, monitoring and assessment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of adolescent development and behavior management strategies.
Proficient in using technology for remote instruction and data tracking.
Successful completion of BCI and FBI background checks.
Pre-employment drug screening may be required.

Ability to build rapport with students and families.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Professional, positive, and adaptable attitude in both remote and in-person settings.

Working Conditions

Prolonged use of computer and technology tools.
Occasional work beyond normal hours.
Potential stress from supporting students requiring high levels of engagement.
Both virtual and in-person interaction with students and families.
