The Children’s Center for Autism (CCA) is part of Texana’s Center’s Specialized Services Division. Texana Center is a 501(c)3 public, not for profit organization whose mission is to deliver life changing services to people with behavioral health issues and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Texana provides a wide variety of behavior analytic services and has a long history of involvement in public policy at the state and local levels. Texana’s Behavior Analysts are provided with opportunities to collaborate with others and to conduct behavior analytic research. The BeST is a well-established program that has been providing high quality ABA treatment for over 10 years.

Role Responsibilities
- Primary job responsibilities include daily supervision and training of assigned BeST staff and daily oversight of each child’s treatment program
- Maintaining a caseload of 2-5 clients. As caseload is established, the Behavior Analyst may also assist with other behavior analytic services as directed by the senior manager
- Developing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs for each assigned child based on behavioral assessment and individualized data and family input
- Conducting the initial implementation of the programs; reviewing data frequently, modifying programs as necessary to get maximum progress, and monitoring treatment integrity
- Providing direct one-on-one and small group treatment using ABA procedures for children with a diagnosis of autism and/or intellectual disability who display aggressive, disruptive, uncooperative, and/or self-injurious behavior. Training consists of skill acquisition for self-help skills, academic skills, social skills, communication skills, vocational skills, and basic attending skills.
- Ensuring standardized preference assessments, functional analyses, and skill assessments are conducted in a timely manner
- Conducting direct observations, collecting data, summarizing data, and documenting training progress
- Working in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other staff
- Providing supervision of all direct care staff including Registered Behavior Technicians in compliance with the BACB
- Providing supervision to Behavior Analyst Interns and/or BCaBAs as outlined in the BACB Experience Standards
- Complying with the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts as well as the Texana Business Code of Conduct
- Remaining current with the literature of ABA and autism treatment
- Attending and participating in monthly meetings with other behavior analysts and managers
- Flexibility and the ability to identify and solve problems in a team oriented environment
Salary
- $39.00-45.00 per hour based on years certified
Required Experience, Skills, Education and/or Certifications
- Board certification (through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board) and Texas license or certification applied for on first day of hire
- Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis or with multiple behavior analysis credits during degree completion
- Applicants should be well-versed in clinical technology as well as able to discuss and explain the technology using scientific and lay terms
- Applicants should be able to communicate and interact professionally and positively with team members, caregivers, and clients
- Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fingerprinting is required through the Department of Public Safety
Preferred Experience, Skills, Education and/or Certifications
- Applicants with clinical experience
- Applicants with autism intervention experience
Job Related Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform SAMA (Texana’s crisis intervention program) and CPR.
- Must be able to run.
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting (15#- 45#), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15#), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting, twisting, and running.
- Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
- Qualified individual must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
