    Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:

    • Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous
    • Supports resident independent recreation, based on individual preferences. Encourages resident's highest functioning ability.
    • Supports the maintenance of an activities schedule that support the seven dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional,
      intellectual/cognitive, and environmental), as well as making regular updates to resident-facing activity board to ensure
      accurate and festive information.
    • Facilitate resident clubs that promote wellness to residents and create an environment where residents feel encouraged to
      participate.
    • Assist with resident exercise programs.
    • Ensures the residents' right to make personal choices in agreement with the residents' service plan.
    • Promotes and provides for and assist with residents' participation in activities.
    • Ensure that residents are free from abuse (physicals, verbal and sexual).
    • Supports resident independent recreation, based on individual preferences.
    • Ensures the residents' right to make personal choices in agreement with the residents' service plan.
    • Attends all in-service education programs mandated by SSL, State and Federal guidelines.

    Pay starts at $18.00/hr and up based upon experience
