GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Provincial Manager, Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) is responsible for providing  administrative leadership to the BMT Program working closely with the Team Lead, Hematology and the Medical Director, Blood and Marrow Transplant. This program is led by the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency in close partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).

The Provincial Manager of BMT will utilize leadership and management skills to support the philosophy, mission, vision and goals of the SCA. The Provincial Manager is responsible for administrative oversight, program development, financial management and effective human resource management. The Provincial Manager will set the tone of collaboration among the BMT staff, SHA staff, stakeholders, patients and families ensuring excellence in patient care. 

The Provincial Manager takes a leadership role in strategic planning, implementation of quality initiatives, and coordinating and managing projects. This role involves coordination and integration of key aspects of data management, growth initiatives, and performance management.

The Provincial Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care.  He/she will ensure that staff are prepared for, and supported in, the provision of patient and family centered care.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

 

Bachelor degree in relevant health related field

   
Experience:

Five to seven years recent health care management experience.

Oncology experience an asset.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: Licensure with appropriate professional association or regulatory body
