Description

Clinical Rehab Specialist – Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

South Shore Region – Wareham, MA

Salaried Position at $40 per hour | Flexible Schedule | Zero Micromanaging, Maximum Impact

Proud Winner of Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work 2024 & USA Today Top Workplaces 2024

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a seasoned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a minimum of 5 years experience who’s ready to ditch the same-old-same-old and step into a Clinical Rehab Specialist role that actually lets you do the cool stuff. (We see you. You’ve got skills.)

This isn’t your average COTA gig. This is a unique opportunity to grow your clinical chops, work closely with the brainy OTs, and have real influence in patient outcomes—all while being fairly compensated and genuinely supported by leadership that actually knows what OT is.

What’s in It for You?

  • SALARIED position at $40/hour with consistent scheduling (because we don’t believe in feast-or-famine caseloads)
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (for your teeth and your sanity)
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays (no guilt trips attached)
  • 401k Retirement Plan (for future-you)
  • Endless Respect for What You Do
  • Clinical training & support from actual humans
  • Perks & discounts because adulting is expensive

________________________________________

What You’ll Be Doing (besides saving the day):

  • Carry out treatment plans created by your OTR partner-in-crime
  • Use your COTA ninja skills to help patients regain independence in daily life
  • Help clients master everything from brushing teeth to rejoining the community (and yes, sometimes that means learning how to microwave popcorn safely)
  • Collaborate with team members like a pro—because teamwork makes the dream work
  • Document like a boss in our streamlined EMR (we hate clunky software, too)
  • Provide real-world caregiver education that doesn’t sound like a textbook

Why VRNS?

  • Because we believe COTAs are not sidekicks—they’re superheroes with associate degrees. At VRNS, we actually know what COTAs bring to the table. You'll have a team that values your judgment, listens to your input, and never dumps a mountain of unrealistic expectations on you. (We’re not that kind of company.)
  • So, if you’re looking for a role that challenges you, respects your license, and offers flexibility with a human-first culture—look no further.

You’ll also work with regional DDS clinicians, helping to enhance screenings, equipment recommendations, and support tools. No pressure—but your ideas might actually get used.

Home healthcare experience is recommended but not required.

  • Candidates must have MA Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
