Summary: Is responsible for safely transporting Associates of Ocean Reef Club to and from the Club and housing locations off property, provides courier service on property, and provides transportation for Associates off property for Human Resources functions. Will assist with ensuring proper flow of the day to day operation while also performing the tasks of a Shuttle Driver. Aids the operation by supervising fellow drivers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.   

 

Shuttle Driver:

·        Ensure Associates are safely and efficiently transported to and from designated off property pick-up and drop-off locations.

·        Perform daily inspection of each vehicle, golf cart and shuttle; charge batteries, fill gas tank, check tires and overall operation of each asset.

·        Report any vehicle, golf cart, and shuttle maintenance issues in a timely manner.

·        Do daily spot checks of vehicles, golf carts, and shuttles to ensure cleanliness and compliance with all standards.

·        Ensure the Shuttle Hub in the Parking Garage is kept tidy, organized and stocked.

·        Ensure the Associate Wash Station is tidy, organized and stocked.

·        Communicate to staff the afterhours/weekend coverage contact information: Director of Safety and Security, Human Resources Manager, Staff Housing Houseman.

·        Provide support to HR team as needed.

·        Adhere to ORC grooming and safety standards.

  • Drive shuttle and transportation routes.

 

Shuttle Supervisor additional responsibilities:

·        Oversee daily shuttle operations

  • Follow up with time off requests, track and organize associate availability for scheduling.
  • Create and distribute weekly shuttle schedule. Communicate shuttle schedule weekly and follow up on any changes made throughout the week.
  • Work with Activities Coordinator to ensure the most up to date communications are posted in the Shuttle Hub.
  • Check with shuttle staff at the beginning of their shift and follow up throughout the day both in person and over the radio.
  • Do weekly spot checks of shuttles to ensure cleanliness and compliance with all standards.
  • Update training materials as well as schedule and host Transportation Boot Camps as needed
  • Make detailed notes and communicate any disciplinary actions necessary to HR Manager

·        Communicate going-ons, specific van usage, schedules, and staffing responsibilities.

·        Ensure Shuttle Drivers stay on task, on route and are completing secondary job responsibilities that keep the operation running smoothly and looking sharp.

·        Ensure daily logs are signed—Radio sign-out, timesheets.

·        Ensure Vehicle Safety Checklists are completed for all vehicles.

·        Assist with training new employees on shuttle operating procedures.

·        Ensure Shuttle Drivers take their full 30-minute break each shift at the designated slower time of the day.

  • Make detailed notes and communicate any disciplinary actions necessary to Human Resources Manager
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance repairs and oversee maintenance repairs and regular upkeep on entire fleet of HR vehicles including vans, shuttles, and golf carts.
  • Coordinate staffing and/or take shifts if drivers call out or do not report for scheduled shifts
  • Ability to use computers/technology for communication, scheduling, correspondence

 

* If no manager is on duty, take the lead on supervising the team.

Education and/or Experience                                                   

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. 

 

Language Skills                                                

Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to effectively communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

                      

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving history.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

 

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.

 

Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional. 

 

As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
