About the Role

As a Payment Analyst at XiFin you will be part of a high-performing team of professionals reporting directly to the Manager, Payment Posting. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in analyzing payment data, ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes, and improving overall financial performance for assigned customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that values continuous learning, mentorship, and operational excellence. This position will be located at our office in Charleston, SC. 

How you will make an impact:

In this role, you’ll:

• Develop standard operating procedures and participate in training
• Follow up/Initiate payor ERA/EFT enrollment
• Participate in payment posting audits
• Maintain high level of productivity through speed and accuracy
• Posting insurance, patient, and client payments as needed
• Review and analyze payment reports, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement in the billing process
• Perform monthly reconciliation of payments received against billed amounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed
• Generate and present regular reports on payment performance, trends, and key metrics to management.
• Work closely with billing, coding, and collections teams to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as insurance payer policies related to medical billing and payment processes
• Provide training and support to billing staff on payment-related issues and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency of billing operations

Skills and experience you have: 

You don’t need to check every box. We will consider a combination of education and experience, including:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
• Relevant experience/knowledge in medical billing, payment analysis, or healthcare finance
• Strong research and analytical skills
• High level of organizational, time management and customer service skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners

Pay Transparency

At XiFin, we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The expected hourly range for this role is $25 to $30, based on your experience, skills, and geographic location.

Final compensation will be determined during the selection process and may vary accordingly.
