Hybrid Odyssey of the Mind Coach - Elementary chez Delaware Valley School District

An Odyssey of the Mind (OM) coach facilitates a team of students in creative problem-solving, guiding them through the process of developing and presenting their solutions to long-term and spontaneous problems. 
 Key Responsibilities of an Odyssey of the Mind Coach:

• Facilitate Creative Problem Solving:
  Guide the team in brainstorming, developing ideas, and refining their solutions. 
• Teamwork and Project Management:
  Help the team organize their work, manage time, and stay on track. 
• Teach Basic Skills:
  Instruct the team on relevant skills such as building techniques, theatrical principles, or artistic elements. 
• Ensure Adherence to Rules:
  Help the team understand and follow the Odyssey of the Mind program rules and guidelines, including the concept of "Outside Assistance". 
• Provide Support and Encouragement:
  Offer moral support, motivate the team, and help them develop confidence in their abilities. 
• Manage Logistics:
  Organize meetings, secure materials, and coordinate transportation to competitions. 
• Communicate:
  Maintain communication with the team, parents/guardians, and the school/group director.
