Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and classroom teacher, is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Please refer to attached job description for specific responsibilities. This is a temporary position through December 19, 2025.

Students Served: Students with reading, writing, math, self-regulation and/or social goals who are on an academic track and do not require specialized life skills instruction or intensive behavior support.

Salary Range: $25.29 - $28.74 Paraeducator A per 2024-25 Public School Employees Salary Schedule (Anticipated salary increase effective September 1, 2025.)
Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule:

Dates Needed: September 3 - December 19, 2025
Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Paid Hours: 6.0 hours per day
Lunch Break: 30 minutes unpaid break
Calendar: 9 months/year

Qualifications:

Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
1. Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro (https://www.ets.org/parapro),or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program;
2. Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
3. Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.
Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.

Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).
