Position Title: Assistant Principal

The primary function of the Assistant Principal is to support the Principal in the development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of a comprehensive program of educational and student services. The Assistant Principal helps administer the program in accordance with board policies, statutory requirements, administrative rules and regulations, and consistent with collective bargaining agreements and the District’s mission and vision. The Assistant Principal also serves as an advocate for the staff, school, and school community as appropriate.
Qualifications:
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District (Board Policy 1400).
Report to/Evaluated by: The Assistant Principal is under the immediate supervision of the site Principal.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position supervises the Teachers, Custodians, and all Support Staff. All school employees have some responsibility for supervising students and assisting in maintaining a safe environment at all times.
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000; Salary dependent upon experience.
