Potential Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing assessment, treatment planning, counseling and support to individuals in group homes or psychosocial rehabilitation programs
- Providing behavioral and emotional support in community-based settings
- Leading or co-facilitating group activities or therapeutic programming such as therapeutic and psychosocial rehabilitation.
- Assisting with crisis prevention, de-escalation and intervention as needed
- Documenting services and progress notes in electronic records
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, human services, or related field (preferred)
- Special consideration given to individuals with experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorders and IDD. (preferred)
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, communication and skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team.
