We are currently looking for a Fitness Manager to join the Quail West team!

Summary:

The Fitness Manager (FM) is a key member of the Quail West management team, responsible for overseeing all fitness operations within our 13,000 sq. ft. fitness center. This includes leading personal training, group fitness, Pilates, yoga, spin, and wellness programming. The FM ensures exceptional member experiences by managing a high-performing team, implementing innovative programming, and fostering a welcoming, professional, and safe environment.

  • This is a Full-Time position
  • Pay rate: Salary
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a hands-on leader who directs the day-to-day operations of all fitness programming.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team of fitness professionals.
  • Provide regular feedback and formal performance evaluations to support staff growth.
  • Ensure seamless operations and adherence to all club and company-wide policies.
  • Schedule staff to ensure consistent and adequate coverage across all programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely entry of data related to members, staff, and operations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management skills in a collaborative setting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activity for extended periods.
  • Professionalism in member interactions, with high energy and strong initiative.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically and speak publicly with confidence.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a luxury fitness or wellness environment.
  • Deep knowledge of personal training, group fitness, and wellness programming.
  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

Other

  • Competence in fitness program design and implementation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fitness and exercise principles.
  • Knowledge of first aid, performing CPR, using an AED and blood-borne pathogens.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach, walk, stand, stoop, climb stairs, balance and/or crouch.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Physical exertion over long periods of time.
  • Work in hot and humid environments.
  • Push, pull and lift 50 pounds.
