Hybrid Maintenance Lead chez American Woodmark

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Lead efficiently manages daily maintenance, preventive measures and projects to ensure completion, minimizing downtime.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Lead the maintenance department to complete projects as assigned in a timely manner

· Understand various software and machine programs, including a CNC to manage day to day requirements for the department, with the ability to edit and create new programs

· Manage department activities, such as work orders, preventive maintenance, audits, etc.

· Safely perform maintenance functions through the appropriate use of hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and various machines including a scissor lift, fork truck, etc.

· Ability to use test equipment such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, pressure gauges

· Conduct preventive maintenance activities and identify opportunities for improvements

· Efficiently communicate progress, updates and concerns to appropriate parties in a timely manner

· Effectively navigate, utilize, and create various software and machine programs, including CNC

· Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping for yourself and your team

· Display, encourage, and maintain a professional work environment through the timely completion of projects, respectful communication, team player attitude, integrity, accountability, excellence

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Apply basic math concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

· Ability to apply wiring schematics and diagrams, layout drawings, and PLC logic

· Ability to make quality judgement and prioritize responsibilities to minimize plant downtime

· Ability to use and read a standard tape measure

Preferred Education & Experience:

· High school diploma or G.E.D.

· 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Required Physical Ability:

· Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to climb and perform various duties from a latter at various heights

· Frequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushing

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures

· Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, ear protection, and other

· The noise level is usually moderate to high

· Occasional overtime, weekend work or alternate schedules based on plant needs is required
