At Toyota Research Institute (TRI), we’re on a mission to improve the quality of human life. We’re developing new tools and capabilities to amplify the human experience. To lead this transformative shift in mobility, we’ve built a world-class team in Automated Driving, Energy & Materials, Human-Centered AI, Human Interactive Driving, Large Behavior Models, and Robotics.
In the Human Interactive Driving team, we are looking to build the future of intelligent vehicles that center the human experience. We do this by simultaneously working to understand human learning, while also pushing the limits of what can be achieved with autonomous control. Then, we bring the two elements together in a shared autonomy framework, amplifying human potential.
This role would be part of a new “Mobility 3.0” project that strives to bridge the gap between pure research and new product development. We will work closely with partners in Japan to rapidly prototype novel applications of state-of-the-art technology (including, of course, AI) to different types and scales of vehicles (including very small).
