The Total Rewards Specialist 3 is a highly organized and strategic Benefits and Leave Program Manager who oversees and enhances our employee benefits, wellness, and leave of absence programs. This role will serve as the primary liaison for leave of absence vendors, manage accommodations and workers’ compensation cases, and ensure compliance with all benefits-related regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of benefits strategy, vendor management, and employee wellness, with a passion for delivering exceptional employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leaves of Absence & Accommodations
    • Manage relationships with third-party leave of absence vendors.
    • Oversee employee leave processes including FMLA, ADA, and personal leaves.
    • Coordinate workplace accommodations in compliance with ADA and company policy.
    • Work with legal partners to address high risk accommodations and leave circumstances
    • Ensure systems are updated appropriately to track and document leaves and payments
  • Benefits Strategy & Administration
    • Support the development and execution of the company’s benefits strategy.
    • Administer benefits billing and reconciliation processes.
    • Ensure accurate and timely benefits reporting and compliance with federal and state regulations.
    • Act as the company’s benefits leader for all benefits related questions, issues and concerns
    • Assesses employee engagement results to develop and update the benefit package to best meet the employees’ needs
  • Wellness & Recognition Programs
    • Lead the design and implementation of employee wellness initiatives.
    • Manage the Awardco platform to support employee recognition and engagement.
    • Coordinate the baby gift distribution program and other employee life event initiatives
  • Workers’ Compensation
    • Serve as the point of contact for workers’ compensation claims and case management.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders and insurance providers to ensure timely resolution.
    • Identify trends and work with the business on risk avoidance solutions
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required compliance reports (e.g., ACA, 5500s).
    • Provide accurate reporting to internal business partners as scheduled and requested
  • Other Programs
    • Administer the Samba Safety Driving Program to ensure compliance with company vehicle policies.
    • Manage all benefits billing, invoicing and expenses

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or total rewards.
