The Antenna and Microwave Department in Portsmouth, RI is seeking a Summer 2026 intern in the area of analog, digital, mixed signal, configurable logic or power design. The desired candidate would possess a desire to gain expertise in two or more of these specialized areas and can work independently yet collaboratively in a team environment:
What You Will Do
- Analog Design – small signal amplification and filtering, low noise techniques
- Mixed Signal Design - A/D D/A Converters, Waveform Generators
- Digital design: MUXs, gates, buffers, registers, ram / flash memory
- Embedded Systems: FPGAs, MPUs, SoC, Signal Processing
- Magnetics Design – Inductor, Transformer, Tuning Networks
- Power Design - Filters, EMI Suppression, Overload/Short Circuit/Stress Analysis
- Optical – Networking, Long-haul Fiber, Repeaters, Splicing and Routing
- Simulation tools: PSpice, Matlab
- Acoustics: Transducer/Sensor Design
This position is an onsite role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
Qualifications We Prefer
- ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
