Position Summary
DISA is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join the Business Analytics team and play a pivotal role in building and supporting foundational data products, including a centralized Client, Product and Vendor Master. This position blends business acumen, data storytelling, and modern data governance practices. The analyst will support MVP-phase projects, with an emphasis on Microsoft Fabric, Azure integration, and structured documentation like source-to-target mappings and data dictionaries.
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using both desktop and Fabric environments.
- Develop and maintain Power BI templates, themes, and visual standards for scale.
- Produce datasets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel, and other reporting tools.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data needs into actionable insights.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and identify trends to improve operational performance.
- Define KPIs, track metrics, and build predictive analytics where relevant.
- Create and document source-to-target mappings for ingestion pipelines.
- Maintain data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and other metadata artifacts.
- Conduct validation and reconciliation testing post-ingestion.
- Participate in Agile delivery (e.g., sprint planning, demos, retrospectives).

- Partner with business and data stewards to ensure quality, traceability, and ownership.
- Ensure proper handling of PII and compliance-related fields through tagging and access control awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business/data/reporting analysis roles.
- Strong experience with Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
- Demonstrated understanding of data modeling, lineage, and structured reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g., Data Lake, Active Directory, Fabric).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Training/Working Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST
