Key Responsibilities:
- Gather information from patients via phone or video to assess their symptoms, concerns, and overall health status.
- Determine the urgency of patient conditions and prioritize needs to ensure appropriate care is provided.
- Provide patients with guidance and education on self-care, medication management, and follow-up instructions.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, make referrals to specialists, and schedule appointments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and assessments, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage emergency calls and provide immediate guidance for critical situations.
- Proficiently use electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and other relevant technologies.
- Stay updated on the latest medical practices and protocols through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license: Required for providing patient care and making clinical decisions.
- Experience in Triage or Emergency Department: Highly desirable for understanding patient acuity and prioritizing care.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration.
- Clinical Judgment & Problem-Solving: Ability to assess patient needs, prioritize care, and make informed decisions based on limited information.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to Work Independently: Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting and manage a high volume of patient calls.
- Empathy and Compassion: Ability to connect with patients and provide sensitive and supportive care.
- Pay: $45.00 per hour
