The Research Scholar will manage the co-edited book project and website stemming from the Mellon-funded project Imperiled Bodies: Slavery, Colonialism, Citizenship and the Logics of Gender-Based Violence co-led by Professors Anita Hill, Harleen Singh, and ChaeRan Freeze. This role will involve essential intellectual and administrative labor such as: managing correspondence; planning two major convenings of contributing faculty; collecting and editing chapter abstracts; reviewing relevant scholarship on an ongoing basis; co-writing the book proposal; ensuring the website’s ongoing accessibility compliance; migrating the Google site to the Brandeis CMS; moving the Kaltura-housed videos to the website itself and circulating media to interested parties; updating the scholarly library; and producing a 5-year sustainability plan for the website as a critical public-facing resource for scholarship.
