To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Research Farm Supervisor MX. This position will be located in Tala, Jalisco, Mexico.What you'll do at Fall Creek:This position is part of Fall Creek’s Breeding and Applied Research department and assists in the day-to-day operations of the Research Farm. Specifically, this position is responsible for assisting the Research Farm Manager with all farm activities.This position is based in El Carmen, Ahualulco de Mercado, Jalisco, Mexico.Essential Duties

• Supervises all nursery workers and contractors working at the farm.
• Manages all harvest crews, planting crews, and weed management crews.
• Assists with field data collection on Breeding and Applied Research projects, both at the research farm and at the nursery.
• Collect routine pH and EC readings, both in the field and in greenhouses, and adjust fertilization accordingly.
• Collects leaf and soil/substrate, roots samples for analysis.
• Assists in maintaining an accurate farm inventory throughout the year.
• Implements and executes the fertilization plan, making periodical reports to confirm the correct implementation.
• Implements and executes the pest management plan, including all management activities regarding pollinators.
• Coordinates with team leaders, managers, and other departments for the use of equipment and facilities.
• Manage purchasing and receiving of farm supplies, fertilizer, and other chemicals as needed.
• Assists with building and adjusting the irrigation schedule.
• Responsible for all potting events, field plantings, and plant movements.
• Performs routine equipment inspections and reports any issues to the Facilities department and the Research Farm Manager.

What you bring to Fall Creek:

• Requires 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Requires ability to collect data in various platforms including, but not limited to, proprietary databases, Excel, and Fulcrum.
• Requires the ability to program, troubleshoot, and maintain irrigation controllers.
• Ability to collaborate with other team members, develop strong relationships, and team decision-making.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with strict attention to detail.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills.
• English is desired.
