Energy / Utilities Buyer
Location: Flexible across Belgium or the Netherlands, with regular site visits

With energy management at the core of our sustainable goals, this is an exciting time to join us. As an Energy / Utilities Buyer at Renewi, you’ll manage critical energy contracts, ensuring sustainable and cost-effective solutions to power our sites across the Benelux. This role offers you the unique chance to influence Renewi’s energy strategy and drive initiatives that reduce costs, improve efficiency, and support our sustainable mission.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for energy procurement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand energy requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Manage relationships with energy suppliers and negotiate contracts that support our goals for sustainability and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor energy market trends, regulations, and innovations to help shape Renewi’s energy strategy.
- Identify opportunities for reducing energy costs and increasing efficiency across all operational sites.
- Work alongside the sustainability team to integrate renewable energy sources and sustainable practices.
What we believe will help you be successful in this role:
- Passion for Energy and Sustainability: You understand energy markets and renewable technologies and can leverage this knowledge to meet Renewi’s needs.
- Procurement Expertise: You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in energy or utilities.
- Strategic Approach: You are proactive, with strong negotiation skills and a track record of successfully managing supplier relationships.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: You connect well with internal teams and are skilled at translating their needs into effective energy solutions.
- Problem-solving Mindset: You’re analytical, detail-oriented, and always on the lookout for ways to drive value through efficient, sustainable energy choices.
