About the role and what you'll be doing

As a Lead DevOps Consultant at Ensono Digital, we will expect you to be playing a leadership role and spending most of your time leading the DevOps aspects of an agile delivery team on an exciting project helping that client to realise the business benefit of an investment into the cloud.

Our Technical Leads are hands-on and responsible for defining and creating the DevOps strategy for projects, designing and architecting across systems, and influencing the success of the project.

You will work closely with senior technical people from the client, navigating through complex stakeholder relationships, guiding architectural and technical decisions, as well as coaching and mentoring members of the project team.

What you'll bring to Ensono Digital

You will be in a leadership position working across the SDLC on large, complex and scalable projects with high volume and high availability microservices. As such, you'll need to bring your skills and experience:

• Designing and implementing platform architecture across systems, using the most appropriate cloud-based services/platform with a deep understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different enterprise environments
• Working with two or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure and GCP
• Defining infrastructure, operations, security architecture or DevOps strategy
• Previous experience extending and enhancing the DevOps toolchain (i.e. Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Debugged applications in all the following languages: Java, C#, NodeJS
• Implementing an infrastructure code testing framework (terratest, test-kitchen, inspec)
• Designing and implementing advanced application routing path incorporating CDN, private/public traffic paths, end-to-end https, load balancer, ingress controller and service mesh
• Great communication skills, in particular: presenting, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders
• Confidently providing direction to your team, resolving challenges and being responsible for outcomes
• Creating a collaborative team environment where everyone's opinion is heard, but you know when to be assertive, back down or escalate
