Remote Senior Accountant/CPA (ZR_17183_JOB)

Our client is seeking a CPA-certified professional with a minimum of 5 years in accounting, ideally within the fintech or cannabis sectors. If you're proficient in QuickBooks, understand inventory management, and have strong analytical skills, this job would be perfect for you. Experience with sales data analysis and familiarity with managerial accounting is crucial.

Job Highlights

• Hourly Rate: USD 10.95, the equivalent in your local currency
• Paid Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, 2-4 hours within 6am to 8pm Fort Lauderdale, FL time, the rest is flexible
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will also be accountable for handling their taxes and benefits independently. The professional fees are calculated on an hourly basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-end accounting tasks, including month-end close processes and audit support
• Develop and maintain complex financial reports for managerial decision-making
• Conduct intricate inventory costing calculations for cannabis industry clients
• Reconcile sales data from point-of-sale systems with accounting records
• Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation in QuickBooks for fintech clients
• Assist in creating and monitoring financial KPIs and performance metrics
• Support CFO-level financial analysis and strategic planning

Requirements

• CPA certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in fintech or cannabis industries
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Strong understanding of inventory management and costing principles
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex calculations
• Experience with sales data analysis and reconciliation
• Familiarity with managerial accounting concepts and practices
• SQL experience is a plus
